All three plates share the same footprint. What changes is the well.
Verification is due every six months
Applied Biosystems™ recommends verifying instrument performance twice a year. Labs also run a plate after a repair, after the instrument is moved, at a new installation, and ahead of an audit.

Which plate fits my instrument?
The format decides. An instrument set up for 0.1 mL takes SKU 9601, one set up for 0.2 mL takes 9602, and a 384-well instrument takes 384. The 96-well plates fit the QuantStudio™ 3, 5, 6, 7 and 12K Flex; the 384-well plate fits the 5, 6, 7 and 12K Flex.
Is it equivalent to the Applied Biosystems plate?
It satisfies the same requirements as the Applied Biosystems™ RNase P Instrument Verification Plates: the same human RNase P assay, and the same pass criteria.
What exactly does the instrument have to do to pass?
Distinguish 5,000 from 10,000 genomic equivalents of the human RNase P gene, at a 99.7% confidence level, for a subsequent sample run in a single well.
How often should we run a verification plate?
Applied Biosystems™ recommends every six months. Labs also run one after a repair, after the instrument is moved, at a new installation, and ahead of an audit.
How long does delivery take?
Two business days within the United States, with shipping included in the price.
What if it arrives damaged, or I order the wrong plate?
We do not refund, but we exchange a plate in two cases: it was damaged in transit, or you ordered the wrong format and the plate is sealed and unused.
To request an exchange, email [email protected] with your order number, photographs of the plate and its packaging, and a 5 to 10 second video of the plate as received. Once approved, we ship the replacement or the correct plate, and the damaged or wrong plate comes back to us at 10923 Randall St, Unit A, Sun Valley, CA 91352. Return shipping is paid by the buyer.
Opened or already run. Not exchangeable, unless damaged in transit.
Your instrument did not pass. The plate is the reference, so a fail points at the instrument rather than the plate. Send us the readings and we will look at them with you.

On the Documents page, for all three plates, downloadable without an account. If your file needs a document that is not published there — lot paperwork or a supplier form — ask and we will send it.
